The Ursuline College soccer team will open the 2018 season at home on Thursday afternoon when they host Wheeling Jesuit University at 4:30pm.

The Cardinals, who compete in the Mountain East Conference, finished 6-11-1 last season and were picked fourth in the preseason coaches poll released earlier this summer.

Wheeling will return six seniors including their leading goal scorer Kayla Klock who netted five goals last season and totaled 13 points.

The Arrows finished last season 7-8-2 and went 7-6 in the Great Midwest which earned them the fifth seed in the postseason tournament last October. Ursuline knocked off number four seeded Cedarville in a thrilling match that was decided by penalty kicks before falling to eventual tournament champion Ohio Valely in the semi-finals.
