Soccer Travels to Ohio Valley for G-MAC Quarterfinals on Saturday

The Ursuline College soccer team will make its seventh appearance in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday, October 27 when they travel to Vienna, West Virginia to take on the defending champion Ohio Valley Fighting Scots at 12:30pm.

The Arrows and Scots met in last year's semi-finals of the tournament with Ohio Valley erasing a 2-1 deficit to win the match 3-2 over Ursuline and go on to win the G-MAC Championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament.

Earlier this season in Vienna, Ursuline and Ohio Valley battled to a 2-2 tie behind two goals from freshman midfielder Dominique Buddenhagen.

Ohio Valley clinched the number one seed in the conference for the second-straight year after going 12-1-1 in the league and 13-2-3 overall.

Ursuline earned the final playoff spot with a dramatic double-overtime victory over Lake Erie College on the final day of the regular season this past Tuesday.

The Arrows have appeared in five of the seven championship games in the tournament's history and won the 2014 Regular Season and Tournament Championship that was hosted at Ursuline College.

Ohio Valley won its first-ever G-MAC Championship last season and advanced to represent the conference in the Midwest Regional of the NCAA Tournament.

The winner will advance to take on the winner of Findlay and Ohio Dominican University at a site to be determined by the highest remaining seed on Thursday, November 1.
