For the first time in six years, Ursuline was defeated 3-2 in the Great Midwest Semi-Final game against the number one seed Ohio Valley University.
 
Ohio Valley struck first in the 13^th minute on a goal from Karla Traslavina to give the number one seeded Scots an early 1-0 lead.
 
Ursuline responded quickly after senior Steph Chlad found fellow senior Taylor Dackin who beat the back line of Ohio Valley to even the match at 1-1 in the 16^th minute.
 
The goal for Dackin was her fifth of the season which matched her career-best that was set during her freshman season in 2014.
 
The Arrows took the lead when Dackin found junior Haley Knox in the 18^th minute to make it 2-1.
 
Ohio Valley got its second goal of the match when Paula Valbuena scored late in the first half to even the score 2-2 at the break.
 
The Fighting Scots took the lead for the second time in the game off a corner kick that was headed in by Laura Acosta to make it 3-2 in the 60^th minute.

Freshman goalkeeper Gina Cerny made 13 saves, her second most this season, for Ursuline. 
 
Ursuline had appeared in the previous five Great Midwest Tournament Championship games while Ohio Valley advances to their first-ever championship game against Ohio Dominican.
