The Ursuline College soccer team will travel to Ohio Valley University on Thursday for the Great Midwest Semi-Finals at 2:30pm.
 
The Arrows will meet the #1 seeded and host Ohio Valley Fighting Scots for the first time this season after their regular season contest was cancelled due to an industrial fire last weekend.
 
Ursuline advanced to the Semi-Finals for the sixth straight year after defeating Cedarville on Saturday in a thrilling match that went to penalty kicks after regulation and two overtimes were not enough.
 
The Arrows edged the Yellow Jackets 4-3 in PK's with senior Rachel Strahorn converting the deciding kick on Ursuline's last attempt.
 
Ohio Valley earned the hosting rights and number one seed after going unbeaten (12-0-1) in the regular season Great Midwest schedule an 15-0-2 overall on the season. The Scots were ranked #22 in the nation in the last Division II Poll and number three overall in the Midwest Region.
 
The Fighting Scots averaged 3.18 goals per game on the season while allowing just eight goals to their opponents on 137 shots which were both tops in the Great Midwest.
 
Konstantina Giannou led Ohio Valley and the conference in goals scored with 17 and had five assists to total 39 points.
 
Ursuline will be appearing in the Semi-Finals for the sixth straight year and have advanced to the Championship round in each of the last five years. The Arrows won the 2014 Tournament Championship in which they hosted.
 
The Arrows have been led this season by senior Steph Chlad who scored a career-best 12 goals while tallying 26 points. Senior Taylor Dackin has scored four goals for the Arrows and totaled 11 points.
 
Walsh University and Ohio Dominican, two newcomers to the G-MAC, will play in the other Semi-Final match- up on Thursday.
 
The winner of the Great Midwest Tournament will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II tournament.
