Soccer Travels to Cedarville for G-MAC Quarterfinal Saturday

The Ursuline College soccer team will travel to Cedarville University on Saturday evening to take on the Yellow Jackets in a Great Midwest Tournament Quarterfinal match up.
 
The winner will advance to play the winner of the #1 seed Ohio Valley and #8 seed Lake Erie College on Thursday, November 2.
 
The Arrows and Yellow Jackets met one time in the regular season on October 19 at Cedarville with the Yellow Jackets winning 3-1. Ursuline held a 1-0 lead at the half off a goal from Taylor Dackin in the 14th minute.
 
Cedarville picked up back-to-back scores from Grace Miorelli in the 60th minute and Hannah Atkinson capped the scoring in the 75th minute for the Yellow Jackets third unanswered goal of the half.
 
Miorelli and Atkinson led Cedarville with seven goals each this season while the Arrows were led by senior Steph Chlad who finished the regular season with a career-high 12 goals.
 
Ursuline is 2-1 all-time in the Great Midwest Tournament against Cedarville and the Arrows have appeared in all five of the conference championship games. Ursuline won the 2014 championship while the Yellow Jackets were the 2015 champions with a 1-0 victory over the Arrows.
 
The winner of the Great Midwest Tournament will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Championships.
