The Ursuline College soccer team closed out the regular season with a 3-2 double overtime road victory over Lake Erie College on Tuesday evening.

The Storm got on the board first in the seventh minute when Holland Erb found the back of the net to make it 1-0.

th minute, senior
Steph Chlad scored her team-leading 10
th goal of the season off a pass from sophomore
Chiara Baker to even the match up 1-1.

In the second half, Lake Erie regained the lead in the 57
th minute when Carley Kandel beat the goalkeeper to make it 2-1.

The Arrows evened the match up again when freshman
Kara Martin struck from 15 yards out for her second goal of the season to make it 2-2.

Neither team scored in the first ten minutes of overtime, but in the 108
th minute, sophomore
Brooke Mahabir finished a cross pass from Chlad for the game winning goal and her second of the season.

With the win, Ursuline clinched the fifth seed in the Great Midwest Tournament that begins on Saturday. The Arrows will travel to Cedarville to take on the Yellow Jackets who are the fourth seed.

The game time on Saturday is set for 5:00 PM and the winner will advance to the highest remaining seed next weekend.Â
