The Ursuline College soccer team earned a key Great Midwest Athletic Conference victory 4-1 over visiting Ohio Dominican on Wednesday afternoon.

The Panthers wasted little time getting on the board less than four minutes into the match when Lauren Bates finished a goal assisted by Samantha Buck to make it 1-0.

Ursuline answered back a minute later when senior
Steph Chlad was fouled in the box to set-up a penalty kick that she finished for her tenth goal of the season to tie the match 1-1.

Jarah Froehlich broke the tie in the 24
th minute on an assist from redshirt sophomore
Allie Moening to make it 2-1 at the intermission.

Froehlich sparked the offense again in the 46
th minute when senior
Taylor Dackin placed a perfect cross pitch pass that Froehlich finished for her second goal of the game and made it 3-1.

Chiara Baker scored the Arrows final goal when she headed in a corner kick that was set up by redshirt freshman
Sarah Mitchell to make it 4-1.

Despite being outshot 20-9 in the game, Ursuline scored on four of its eight shot on goal attempts.

Gina Cerny made 11 saves for the Arrows.

The Arrows will host The University of Findlay on Saturday morning at 11:30am as they will look to bounce back from a loss earlier this season to the Oilers on the road. Saturday will also be Senior Day with the pre-game ceremonies beginning at 11:15am.
