G-MAC Play Continues Thursday at Ohio Valley

The Ursuline College soccer team will continue a five game road trip on Thursday afternoon in West Virginia when they take on Ohio Valley University at 1pm.

Ursuline (5-0-1, 3-0-1) currently sits atop the G-MAC with 10 points after a scoreless tie in Kentucky on Thursday and a 2-1 win over Trevecca on Saturday in Nashville.

The Arrows got a first half goal from sophomore Aline Czaplicki and transfer Allie Moening notched her first career goal at Ursuline in the second half. Trevecca added a late goal and the Arrows turned away several corner chances in the final minutes to pick up the win.

Ursuline has outshot its opponents 109-37 on the season and have allowed just three goals in six games. Freshman Jill Bohling has scored five of the nine goals for Ursuline in 2016 and has accumulated 10 points.

Ohio Valley (0-3-1, 0-5-1) is coming off a 1-1 tie with Alderson Broaddus last week and have been competitive in each of their four G-MAC matches this season. The Scots have lost to Davis & Elkins (1-0), Trevecca (1-0) and Kentucky Wesleyan (1-0).

Ursuline will remain on the road on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Cedarville for a re-match of last season's G-MAC Championship game. The Arrows and Yellow Jackets tied both regular season matches last season. The kickoff is set for 4:30 PM.
