Box Score The Ursuline College soccer team dropped its second straight road game on Saturday afternnoon 2-0 against Davis&Elkins College. With the loss, the Senators move in front of the Arrows for first-place in the G-MAC.
The Senators (9-2, 8-1 G-MAC) wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as in the first :30 seconds of play junior Kaitlyn Buoni found the back of the net for the 11th time this season to make it 1-0.
Ursuline (7-3-1, 6-2-1) attempted just four shots in the first half compared to five for D&E.
The 1-0 lead stood until the 81st minute when senior Marissa Morris notched her first goal of the season to seal the win for the Senators.
The Arrows had not lost back-to-back games since October 2013 when they lost to Cedarville and Kentucky Wesleyan. It was also the second straight loss in Elkins for Ursuline.
Davis & Elkins outshot Ursuline 15-9 on the game and junior goalkeeper Lauren Hill made six saves in the win.
Ursuline will remain on the road next week when they travel to Trevecca Nazarene on Thursday. The match will begin at 7:00pm CST/8:00pm EST.
