Senior Anna Feitl headed home the game-winner off a corner in the 96th minute to improve Ursuline to 10-2 overall and 6-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The Arrows have won five straight matches. Alderson Broaddus is now 2-7-1 overall and 2-4 in the G-MAC. The Battlers are winless in their last five contests.
ABU took the lead just 10:31 into the match when Olivia Augustine scored off a corner kick from Katie Lewis. That was the only goal scored for the next 45 minutes until Ursuline junior Vanessa Consiglio scored her 10th goal of the year off a pass from freshman Steph Chlad who started the year in the back but has scored seven points in her last four matches.
Feitl headed home the game-winner off a corner from Consiglio, the nation's leader in assists (14), at 95:52.
Ursuline took two more shots than Alderson Broaddus (11-9) and keeper Helen Jazzar made three saves to earn her ninth victory of the year.
The Arrows will remain in West Virginia for Saturday's (Oct. 11) match against
Davis & Elkins College. Kickoff has been bumped up to 1:30 p.m. and
