Senior Paige Rowan scored three goals for the second consecutive match and freshman Steph Chlad added two to pick up the first multi-goal game of her young career.
The other two UC strikes came from sophomore Cassie Cripe and junior Vanessa Consiglio.
With three goals today, Rowan tied Jaimie Grindle for the most goals in school history (46).
Ursuline improved to 8-2 overall and 5-0 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. Ohio Valley slipped to 1-8-1 overall and 1-4 in the conference.
Rowan put UC in front 9:21 into the match when she scored off a pass from Cripe. Consiglio set up Rowan's second goal in the 30th minute and then Rowan returned the favor to Cripe as the sophomore from Westfield, Indiana put the Arrows up by three.
Just 23 seconds before the end of the first half, Chlad took a ball from sophomore McKenzie O'Brien and scored her first goal of the day (second of the year).
In the 62nd minute, the dynamic duo of Rowan and Consiglio hooked up again, resylting in Rowan's 14th goal and Consiglio's 13th assist.
Rowan's 14 goals this year set a new personal best after she scored 13 in both her freshman and junior seasons. The school record is 16 goals in a single season, set by Grindle in her sophomore campaign.
Consiglio scored in the 68th minute off an assist from freshman Emily Justus and then Chlad's second goal of the match, this one in the 73rd minute, decided the final margin.
UC played sophomore Helen Jazzar in goal in the first half and senior Amanda Ponchak in the second period and neither was tested with a shot on goal as the Arrows outshot the Fighting Scots 43-1. Saturday was the third consecutive match that the Arrows didn't allow a goal, a span that covers 310:41 dating back to the 50th minute of the match against Tiffin University on Sep. 24.
Ursuline will close the home portion of its schedule tomorrow (Sunday - October 5th) against
Shawnee State University (5-4, 2-2 MSC). That match will start at 3:00 p.m. Because Ursuline is hosting a home conference volleyball match at the same time, there will NOT be a live audio feed on the Ursuline College Sports Network.
At halftime, UC's six seniors will be honored as part of 'Senior Day' festivities.
