MACEDONIA, Ohio – It may have been 'Senior Day' but it was the underclassmen who scored all three goals in Ursuline College's 3-0 win over Trevecca Nazarene University at Nordonia High School on Saturday (Oct. 26) afternoon.

The win was Ursuline's 10th of the year, making it the fourth straight year that the Arrows have reached double figures in wins. This year's team finished the regular season at 10-7-1 overall and 5-5 in conference play. Trevecca Nazarene will return to Nashville with a record of 6-9-2 and a 4-4-2 mark in the G-MAC.

Freshman Cassie Cripe put the Arrows up 1-0 just 13:13 into the match when she scored off a beautiful corner kick from junior Anna Feitl. The goal – which was Cripe's seventh of the year – was the lone strike of the first half.

The Arrows built a little bit of a cushion when Cripe set up her classmate Sarah Jansing for her first collegiate goal in the 77th minute. Jansing's goal seemed crushing to a TNU offense that struggled to get anything going all day. In case there was any doubt at all, sophomore Vanessa Consiglio scored with 19 seconds remaining in the match off a pass from senior Cassie Fischer to decide the final outcome.

Rookie goalkeeper Helen Jazzar picked up the first shutout of her career after splitting time with junior Amanda Ponchak in UC's first two shutouts of the season. Jazzar made two saves, one fewer than TNU goalie Kathleen Farris.

Ursuline outshot Trevecca Nazarene 11-5, including a 7-3 margin in the second half.

Now the Arrows play the waiting game. Ursuline controlled what it could with Saturday's win and the club will wait to see if 15 points will earn the Arrows the right to host an opening round game when the G-MAC Championships begin next Saturday (Nov. 2).
