Box Score

PEPPER PIKE, Ohio  – Two goals from sophomore Paige Rowan and tallies from sophomore Anna Feitl and freshman Taylor MacIver pushed the Ursuline College soccer team past visiting West Liberty University, 4-1.

The second consecutive win bumped Ursuline to 6-4 overall while the Hilltoppers dropped their sixh straight match and fell to 2-10.

Feitl put Ursuline on the board in the sixth minute when she headed home a cross from junior Amanda Levaskevich. Feitl was on the other end of an almost identical play in the 38th minute when she crossed a ball from the right side and Rowan headed it past WLU goalkeeper Hannah Judkins.

After leading 2-0 at the intermission, Ursuline tacked on a goal in the 55th minute when MacIver recorded her conference-best ninth goal of the season on an assist from classmate Vanessa Consiglio.

For good measure, Rowan scored in the 64th minute to make it a 4-0 game before West Liberty’s Keiana Palmer scored in the 76th minute to decide the final margin.

Ursuline outshot the Hilltoppers 9-1 in the first half and 16-4 in the match as the UC defense made life easy for goalkeepers Rachael Smith and Jill Nazor.

The Arrows now turn their attention to a Great Midwest Athletic Conference match with Trevecca Nazarene University that will be held in Urbana, Ohio on Saturday (Oct. 13). The Trojans are 5-2-2 and 1-0 in the G-MAC entering tomorrow’s match at Urbana University.
