Ursuline posted its third-straight shutout win, winning 2-0 at Ohio Valley University on Friday afternoon. The Arrows which will play again Saturday afternoon at Seton Hill and are in the midst of a 11-day, seven-game stretch have scored 13 unanswered goals since trailing 1-0 against Shepherd back on September 16 - a game in which the Arrows won 2-1.
Guiding the offensive attack and the scoring continued to be
Amanda Levaskevich who assisted on the games first goal, in which
Jaimie Grindle put the ball in for what proved to be the game-winning goal. 20 minutes later, Levaskevich scored an unassisted, insurance goal.
Not to be overlooked was the play of the midfield and defense over the last four games, as they have allowed just one goal in 360 minutes. Even more impressive, they have allowed just 17 shots - of which eight were on goal. To compare, UC has totaled 73 shots, of which 36 were on goal. In fact, over the last three games, Ursuline has had more than 17 shots and more than eight on goal in each individual game.
On the season, Levaskevich has a team-high seven goals and three assists for 17 points, while Grindle now has three goals and a pair of assists. Grindle has now totaled 40 career goals. Currently missing stats from 2006, we are working to finalize career statistics and records.
