The Ursuline soccer team (1-2) dropped a road contest to Davis & Elkins College on Saturday afternoon, 3-2. Tied 1-1 at halftime, D&E scored twice in the second before Ursuline closed to within a goal with less than seven minutes left in the game.

In the first half, freshman Paige Rowan scored a goal in the 44th minute just before halftime, for her first collegiate goal of her career, Rowan's goal was assisted on by Anna Feitl, her first assist and point of the season.

In the second half, Davis & Elkins scored in the 69th minute and again in the 81st minute to take a commanding 3-1 lead. Ursuline closed the contest to within a goal on a unassited goal by Cassie Fischer. For Fischer, who lead the team in scoring last year as a freshman, the goal was her first of the season.

The Arrows will return home for their next three contests, starting on Thursday, September 16 against Shepherd University. The game is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the UC Sports Network.
