Ursuline College Athletics

Sophomore softball star Brittany Humbel is the Ursuline College Athlete of the Month for her efforts in March of 2015.

Humbel leads the team in multiple offensive categories including batting average (.400), slugging (.533), on-base percentage (.462) and runs batted in (14). She had four multi-hit games and has driven in two or more runs a team-high four times. Humbel put together an eight-game hitting streak during the team’s Spring Break trip and reached base safely in each of UC’s first 13 contests.

She has also excelled in the circle and has been the winning pitcher in six of UC’s seven victories. After striking out 35 batters in 74 innings last year as a freshman, Humbel has K’d 61 hitters in 69 innings this year including a career-high 10 punchouts against Oberlin on March 18th.
