Ursuline College Athletics

Senior Bea Indurain helped the Ursuline College track and field team capture the title at the inaugural Great Midwest Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships which were held at Kenyon College's Toan Athletic Complex on Saturday (Feb. 28).

Indurain's impeccable technique and overall skill was showcased in the long jump, triple jump, 60 meter hurdles and 60 meter dash. She won all four events and did so while waiving a number of field attempts after nailing her winning marks early in the competition. For her efforts, she was named the G-MAC’s Track Athlete of the Year.

She won the 60 meter hurdles (8.66) at the Youngstown State University National Invitational which was held the first weekend of February. Two weeks later at Baldwin Wallace University’s Greater Cleveland Championships, she won the 55 hurdles (7.97) and long jump (5.21 meters).

The very next day, she dominated at Kent State University’s Tune-Up Meet. She won the 60 meter dash in 7.87 seconds after running a 7.84 in the prelims. She also ran an 8.54 in the 60 meter hurdles prelims and then won the finals with her 8.62.

Indurain closed the month with her standout showing at the G-MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
