Freshman Danielle Reed had a terrific showing at the 2013 Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships held Feb. 14-16 in Barbourville, Ky. She was a top-eight finisher in two individual events, placing fifth in the 100 breast (1:09.34) and eighth in the 100 back (1:01.02).

Reed also swam the backstroke leg (28.34) for the 200 medley relay team that took seventh and anchored all three freestyle relay quartets, resulting in three more top-10 finishes.

All swims were new program records.
