Consiglio Wins G-MAC Female Collegiate Achievement Award

Ursuline College soccer standout Vanessa Consiglio was awarded the second annual Great Midwest Athletic Conference Female Collegiate Achievement Award winner at the league's spring award banquet Monday night.

The award is the highest honor given out to one male and one female athlete for their performance both in academics and in athletics.

Consiglio, who graduated from Ursuline last Friday, will continue her playing career overseas in England while pursuing her Master's Degree. In 2015, she helped lead the Arrows to their fourth consecutive G-MAC Championship appearance while leading the team in goals with 16.

On September 24, in a 1-0 win over Kentucky Wesleyan, Consiglio passed Paige Rowan to become the all-time leader in points in Ursuline soccer history. She finished the season with a team-best 44 points which gave her a career total of 139 points. Consiglio also leaves Ursuline as the all-time leader in assists with 45 and second in goals scored with 47.

Consiglio helped lead the Arrows to the 2014 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships and was awarded the conference's Offensive Player of the Year Award. Her work in the classroom during the academic year was rewarded with the COSIDA Academic All-American Award for Division II.
